First, a HUGE thank you to all of our patients, their friends, and their families for braving the heat wave and coming to our first Summer patient BBQ! The weather held out all morning and the bouncy house went up! Even Dr. B and the staff took turns jumping around in the awesome bouncy house, I say next year we have a dunk tank and try to dunk Dr. B! Everyone had a great time but the real fun began when the water balloon toss quickly turned into a full on cat and mouse game with everyone trying to hit Dr. B with water balloons.
After everyone dried off relaxation mode sunk in, I hope that everyone enjoyed and stuffed themselves on all the yummy food Dr. B made on the grill; he sure did look like a professional in his apron and chef hat!
Too see all of the pictures visit us on facebook by clicking on our facebook button on the homepage or by finding us on facebook at Dr. B Smiles!
Enjoy the rest of summer and thank you all who helped us kick it off with a bang!!

Fun in The Sun Dental Tips
It is that time of the year again, summer is in full bloom, the days are longer and for kids and teens: SCHOOL IS OUT! Fun days are ahead of swimming in the pool, riding your bikes, going to beach and playing outside; staying safe is key to enjoying a long summer before school starts up again. Summer should be a fun time of year for children and teens, and with summer activities there are more chances for accidents to teeth. To protect your smile, below are some tips for keeping your beautiful smile safe and clean. have a fun summer!
Be safe when playing outdoor sports, always wear a helmet when riding your bikes to protect your head and your teeth. Wear a mouthguard when playing lacrosse, soccer, roller hockey, or any other sport where a ball or stick could damage your beautiful smile.
Summer also means rolling out the grill and cooking up some yummy BBQ. Be careful to protect your braces by cutting up sticky ribs and chicken wings, cutting corn off the cob, and avoiding chewy candies and lollipops. I know its tempting but try to limit sugary drinks to once a day. Always be sure to brush after every meal and don't forget to floss.
Enjoy the rest of the summer!
